 The 23rd ISARC, “International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction 2006 (ISARC 2006)” will be held in Tokyo, from October 3 to 5, 2006.

 ISARC 2006 has set “Robot Technology (RT) and Information Technology (IT) Guiding the Construction Industry” as its main topic, to promote modernization of building production systems and technical innovations of the construction robot field in construction industries in the world.

 The symposium is expected to have presentations on the current and future robot usage for construction activities, including robotic component, site & field application, planning, computerized management, environment issue, disaster prevention, safety recovery, renewal, and quick construction.

Paper submission guidelines
The reviewing of papers is divided into two stages: Abstracts and full papers.
1. The author should write an abstract not exceeding two pages (approximately 300 to 500 English words) with the following information, and submit it in PDF format through the website.
(1) Topic (from list or suggested)
(2) Paper title
(3) Author/speaker (if joint authors, the speaker’s name should be indicated by *)
(4) Company/organization, department, position, address, telephone number, facsimile number, and e-mail address
2. Due date for submission of abstracts: February 28, 2006 (Abstracts MUST be received at the office by this date.)
3. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be made around April 2006. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be asked to provide full papers.
4. Due date for submission of full papers: May 31, 2006 (Papers MUST be received at the office by this date.)
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be made around July 2006.
5. Awards will be presented to the best papers.
*Proceedings will be produced with an ISBN number.
